A programme begins before site work
Applications, professional review, material selection, appliance confirmation and long-lead ordering can affect the start even when no one is yet working inside the property. These activities should be visible rather than treated as background administration.
Trades depend on completed information
Wet works, services, ceilings, painting, final measurements, carpentry, worktops and fittings follow a sequence. Starting one activity without the information or site condition it needs can create rework instead of saving time.
Show owner decision dates
The programme should identify when layouts, appliances, tiles, fittings, laminates and other important selections must be confirmed. A completion date is easier to protect when the last responsible decision dates are understood.
Plan the final stage as carefully as the first
Testing, cleaning, touch-ups, defect review, owner-supplied deliveries and handover preparation need time. Compressing every outstanding item into the final day makes the finish less predictable.
